Every child needs quality early childhood education services. The "Increasing Quality of and Access to Early Childhood Education Services" Project aims to increase access for all 0-6-year-old children, to early childhood education (ECE), expanding services and preparing children, particularly the most vulnerable, for their academic and social life.

From zero to eight years old, a child’s linguistic, social, emotional and physical development is faster than at any other time of life. During this critical period, most brain and language development is completed. Accordingly, the importance of providing quality ECE is crucial in order to adequately support the development of young children’s mental, social-emotional, language, motor and self-care skills. Early childhood education is an integral part of a holistic, multi-level (household, community, and society) approach to promoting early child development (ECD).
